JOHNNIE WALKER EXPLORERS’ CLUB LAUNCH

Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, France

Johnnie Walker launched its Explorers’ Club Collection line in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport with a highly acclaimed pop-up store. The open-design store is dedicated to showcasing the new Johnnie Walker travel retail range, alongside other rare expressions from the John Walker & Sons premium collection.

Johnnie Walker Explorers Travel Retail Store, which opened at the start of June (for a 2 month period), features a tasting bar, where Johnnie Walker provides travellers with tasting notes and information on the production of the two current releases in the Explorers’ Club Collection. This ensures the traveller can not only purchase the product but also be inspired and educated.

This exquisitely hand-crafted Johnnie Walker Explorers Travel Retail Store, retail fixtures include copper plating, handmade leather furniture and intricate wood-working throughout, was also featured in a prestigious Milanese Architectural magazine as well as in a lot of mainstream press, including the Wall Street Journal.

The brand owner said: “The innovative, luxurious open-design site pays tribute to the travelling heritage of the John Walker & Sons agents who journeyed the world, navigating their way down the famous trade routes in pursuit of new business and adventure.”

Designed as a temporary two month installation, complete with sampling areas, it has since been re-created in other airports worldwide as part of their permanent displays.

From design to installation, this project was fully managed by Concourse Display Management, including overseeing manufacture. The pop-up store was then rolled out in other regions across the world including Cambodia,
at Phnom Phen International Airport. Produced in Italy.
